Yoga and the Mind Yoga is wonderful for flexibility and even getting in shape. Yoga focuses on deep concentration on a person's breathing and using daily proper posture. Not only is it great for stress, but also a bad back can benefit greatly. Yoga involves relaxation, gentle exercises and the benefits of meditation. By focusing with the mind inward, relaxing and revitalizing the body in order to achieve a sense of proper balance and well being. The results are that the muscles relax, blood pressure drops, nerves soothed, anxiety is released, immune system is strengthened, and healing promoted. All this combined, symptoms and back pain can be alleviated and further backaches can be prevented.
